German to English Tech/Engineering
In table 1 of Technical Specification of Electrical Equipment, DIN EN 60 721-3-3, under Umweltklasse B, the requirement is given as an abbreviation 'j.Vorber.' Please tell me the full version in German, and also the English translation. Thanks, Iain.

For "j. Vorber." I could not find anything anywhere. Could it be a typo in your original text? I have found quite a few hits for "i. Vorber." = "in Vorbereitung" (I guess) = in preparation. It was used to mean that a new document/book/device/requirement/rule/model etc. was being prepared at the time of publication.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks Dan, the "j" could indeed be an "i" as the quality of the faxed original is very poor. I will use your full suggestion "in Vorbereitung". Iain."

prepare/preparation

I don't know what j. stands for, could be jede-r,s as each or every, and vorber. must be the abreviation of Vorbereitung or vorbereiten for which I,ve given the translation above. I hope it helps.
