Unfortunately, no further text given - this is a word in a list. But by googling I've found out that it's an old word for some type of farming job.

Ein Synonym ist "Markscheider" für Bergbauaspekte. Vielleicht darunter zu finden?

Acccording to the references quoted below, this term is mainly used in Bavaria. "Feldscheider" are not officially appointed land surveyors but laymen/citizens assisting the authorities/official surveyors with establishing/marking land boundaries and resolving related disputes.

demarcation (feldscheide/r = grenzziehung)

Should work fine. In other words I think they mean drawing out borderlines between areas (fields). Determining seperation areas.

The "job" is the process of demarcation. The term in German also comes up in real estate/property dealings.

neutral Kim Metzger : Should work fine? On the basis of what you think they mean?
