German term

Hirnwindungsrelief

German to English Medical Medical (general)
The sentence for context reads (from a cranial CT):
"Links verstrichenes Hirnwindungsreliefs auch hochparietal, der linke Seitenventrikel ist komprimiert."
I know it's not much and I know I've had this term before, but I just can't seem to remember it right now.

Thank you for your help!

flattened gyri

You could add "narrowed sulci" if you like, but I don't think it's necessary.

"In Image 4-7, this is manifested by diffuse widening and flattening of gyri, narrowing of sulci, and ventricular compression."

"Observations Softer than usual brain with flattened gyri, narrowed sulci, and compressed ventricles:..."

"... absence of neurologic signs (Dickieand James 1983). gross pathology, brain, soft graycortex, flattened gyri;"

shallow relief of the sulci and gyri

The relief, or the depth of the sulci on the surface of the brain, analogous to the tread on a tire, is shallow as if it had been rubbed out.
