Im Bereich der UE rechts spastische Tonunserhöhung. Bein kann von der Unterlage abgehoben werden. MER rechts erhöht. PZ pos.

I should point out that there are many spelling errors in the text and it is making life difficult for me.

Typo? supposedly it should read "Tonuserhöhung". Muskeltonus is muscle tone...

Hypertonia

Hypertonia in the area of the right leg (UE = untere Extremität = lower extremity). Leg can be raised from resting surface. Stretch reflrex (or patellar reflex; MER = MuskelEigenReflex = stretch /myotatuc reflex) increased for right leg.

Spastic hypertonia involves uncontrollable muscle spasms, stiffening or straightening out of muscles, shock-like contractions of all or part of a group of muscles, and abnormal muscle tone. It is seen in disorders such as cerebral palsy, stroke, and spinal cord injury. A form of hypertonia unrelated to spasticity is known as Paratonia which is associated with dementia. (wikipedia)

I see the HEXAL online dictionary gives 'hypertonia' for "Tonuserhöhung' but my Stedmans Medical Dictionary describes 'hypertonia' as 'extreme tension of the muscles or arteries'
