About the same patient as the previous question:
Thorax in 2 Ebenen.
Anamnese: Parostales Osteosarkoma des linken Oberschenkels
Fragestellung: CPS?
Beurteilung: Unauffälliger Thoraxbefund. Kein Nachweis einer Metastasierung des bekannten Osteosarkoms in den Thorax.
The way I understand it, the x-ray is taken to make sure the osteosarcoma has not spread to the lungs. But what does CPS stand for?
I seriously hope this is the last question I ask today....

cardio pulmonary spreading
CPS steht für Kardiopulmonale Streuung, wie Du richtig vermutest hattest

Comment: "Thank you very much to everyone. This was the answer that made the most sense since it is a chest x-ray and osteosarcoma commonly spreads to the lungs, rarely to the heart. @Casper: see http://www.childrenshospital.org/az/Site1077/mainpageS1077P0.html"

cardio pulmonary {support}
Since 'C' is so rare in German, it has to be an English abbreviation.
This one might fit, especially with the thorax. Not certain about 'support' but this might fit, seeing as they do not seem to be using it...
It did not like my link, so here it is

: I feel that 'cardiopulmonary' may be correct, but that the 'S' stands for 'syndrome' in this context, as the person requesting the diagnostic imaging may have been wondering if the patient was suffering from secondary cardiopulmonary syndrome.

capsular polysaccharide
First I thought of counts per second, but then I found a PDF file. Here is an extract:
Vibrio vulnificus produces a severe septic shock syndrome in susceptible individuals. Virulence of the bacterium has been closely linked to the presence of a surface-exposed acidic capsular polysaccharide (CPS).
To investigate whether CPS plays an additional role in pathogenesis by modulating inflammatory-associated cytokine production, studies were initiated in a mouse model and followed by investigations of cytokine release from human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs).

seems to make sense since the intake refers to the left thigh.

cardiopulmonary sarcoma
Just a guess on the "S", but it seems to fit with the question.
Something went wrong...
