German term

Minis für Große

German to English Marketing Media / Multimedia
This is the heading of a test report on a home cinema surround-sound system - the report goes on to say that, because the speakers are small but powerful, they can deliver a high-quality "surround-sound experience" without taking up much space.

I'm trying to think of something along the lines of "size does matter" (but much less clicheed and obvious!!) - does anybody have any bright ideas?

TIA!

Discussion

Thomas Giebler Jul 17, 2010:
That`s at least how I personally read it. In the sense of..."Small Toys for Big Boys" or something like that.
Bernd Runge Jul 17, 2010:
Heading? ... or just the first few words (in another fond style) of a whole sentence which is becoming more and more common.
The heading Minis für Große (especially with this capitalization) doesn't make much sense except we are talking about grown-ups.

"Grown-up sound despite its junior format."

Please observe that this is not my suggestion! It was used by the company "Teufel" in Germany for advertising for UK or English speaking audience.

I just want to give you some creative input.

That's one option. Or "Tiny yet Tremendous"? :-)

Lightweight fist, heavyweight punch

Depends upon who is going to the read the test report, I suppose. Techies, or Joe Public?

Of course, you can substitute 'speakers' for fists(s): http://stuff.tv/forums/thread/56893.aspx
