German term
Reststofftonne
German to English
Tech/Engineering
Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.)
Context:
"Abfalltrennung
Papier
...
Alles andere
Falls Sie noch Abfälle haben, können diese in der Reststofftonne entsorgt werden."
Thgis seems so simple, but I'm not 100% certain.
Does it ACTUALLY mean Restmüll, i.e. non-recyclable miscellaneous waste, or recyclable rubbish?
* Sentence or paragraph where the term occurs: See above
* Document type: Safety instructions

* Country and dialect (target): British English

I agree with the description below:
"Residual waste bins are available in the measurements of 50 / 80 / 120 / 240 / 1.100 litres; bio waste bins in the measurements of 120 / 240 litres and paper bins in the measurements of 240 / 1.100 litres. "

non-recyclable waste bin
Here is what a Reststofftonne is for David.
Graue Reststofftonne (Abfuhr alle vier Wochen):
Alle Abfälle, die z. Z. keiner Wiederverwertung zugeführt werden können, z. B. Windeln, Hygieneartikel, Asche, Porzellan, Keramik, Kehricht, Staubsaugerbeutel, Zigarettenfilter, verschmutztes Papier, Pergamentpapier, Fotopapier, Durchschlagpapier, gebrauchte Tapeten, Fensterglas, Kabelreste, Lumpen (nicht ölhaltige), Stoffreste, etc.
They need to sort out the colour coding for these things though...! Everywhere you go a different colour bin clearly means a different type of waste...
