German term

oder pastöser Form von Wachsen in Wasser

German to English Tech/Engineering Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) Emulsions
"Emulsionen in flüssiger oder, pastöser Form von Wachsen in Wasser oder organischen Lösungmitteln; [...]"

The above is taken from a list of goods that a company produces.

I don't know whether the comma after "oder" is misplaced as well, but my problem is whether the English translation makes any technical sense if I translate it as:

"emulsions in liquid or paste form of wax in water or organic solvents [...]"

Discussion

Steffen Walter May 1, 2008:
The comma's definitely in the wrong place. If at all, commas should have been placed as follows: "Emulsionen, in flüssiger oder pastöser Form, von Wachsen in Wasser oder organischen LösungSmitteln".

Emulsions of liquid or pasty consistency of waxes in water or .....

oder einfach
Liquid or pasty emulsions of waxes in water or ....

So verstehe ich das.
