Based on your suggestions you already get the idea. :) Yes, the Organtraeger is the controlling entity (usually the domestic parent company) in a consolidated tax group/fiscal unit. Also, I think you'll find "VAT registration number" to be the more formal term as opposed to "VAT ID" - the VAT number representing the registered tax identification number.
