Hi everybody. I made the mistake of accepting a job outside of my areas of competency, not to say experise, and find myself embroiked in a struggle to understand the SchKG (Swiss Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law). I understand most of what is to be translated, but just do not have the appropriate vocabulary in English.
I know from the glossaries that Arrestbefehl is a writ of attachment (and I have one of those!), but what would we call the presiding judge in a case like this? Would it be something like Bankruptcy Court Judge, or am I totally off base?

judge that ordered writ of attachment
It is just a compressed way of designating the judge who ordered the attachment after some proceeding. He/she ordered the relief that the plaintiff requested and is not a bench warrant (capias), which issues in criminal causes for the arrest of evildoers. This judge is not a bankruptcy judge necessarily; there is no attachment of property in bankruptcy anyway. It is also not a formal job designation -- this is not all that this judge does. He/she happened to be, in the context of this case, the Arrestrichter because she/he issued the the order or writ of attachment. Now that judge is stuck with the moniker for the purposes of this case only.

I have to back up and admit that writs of attachment may issue in Swiss bankruptcy proceedings.
Note that there is a typo: this is a Beitreibungsamt: Geldforderungen werden _beigetrieben_. Check search engines for this spelling.
\"Magistrate\" may be used as well as judge.
