Instinctively, I'd say it does not refer to a physical position but rather to an item in a list of documents to be burned on the CD-R. (i.e. in the same vein as Auftragsposition, Vertragsposition, Bestellposition etc.)
If there is no other occurrence of Brennposition in the document you're translating, I'd highly recommend you ask the client. Anything else would be very speculative.
