order execution

Please check the original text - thing is, a *position* is the result of an *order* execution. IOW you cannot execute a position.

This error is frequent whenever someone refers to a function where several orders can be executed simultaneously - still, you execute orders, or "baskets" of orders, but *never* a position.

going long, going short, open/close a position

taking a position is not quite correct here, I feel, I've only heard the expressions above...do you have more context?
