two pipe
I would opt for "two-pipe" as it seems to refer directly to the type of heat pump system.

with 2 pipes
heat pumps typically work with pies, not wires...

2-Leiter (gemeint ist 2-Leitungssystem)
2-pipe system (2-tube-system)
The aim of the project is to demonstrate the use of a gas compression heat pump with the soil as heat source in the heating range power above 1 000 kW. Energy savings of 50% compared with a conventional boiler plant are envisaged.
:
The heat pumps are dimensioned for coverage of the transmission heat demand of 1 150 kW, two soil heat exchangers (6 800 m2, 2 100 m2) are used as heat source for the heat pumps, the heat exchangers consist of pe-tubings in parallel one besides the other in plane, they are installed in 2 depths of 0.8 and 1.8 beneath the soil surface.

Natural Gas Heat Pump Air-Conditioners (GHP) have been used globally for over two decades and have proven to be an energy saving and sustainable alternative to electric systems. Collectively, the GHP manufacturers have produced over half a million Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV©) and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems.

Variable refrigerant flow systems with heat recovery (VRF-HR) capability can operate simultaneously in heating and/or cooling mode, enabling heat to be used rather than rejected as it would be in traditional heat pump systems. Each indoor unit is branched off from the 3 pipes using solenoid box which contains a series of valves. An indoor unit requiring cooling will open its liquid line and suction line valves and act as an evaporator. An indoor unit requiring heating will open its hot gas and liquid line valves and will act as a condenser. Typically, extra heat exchangers in distribution boxes are used to transfer some reject heat from the superheated refrigerant exiting the zone being cooled to the refrigerant that is going to the zone to be heated. This balancing act has the potential to produce significant energy savings

Note: I still remember my inspections at the well-known Japanese manufacturer of air conditioners and heat exchangers, where I checked the safety-related electrical parts and pipes. I.e. under the labels like Panasonic and other (manufacturer’s name not disclosed for confidentiality reasons).

Discussion
Leiter = conductor, lead, core (conductor), phase (conductor),
Stromleitung = 1. (current) conduction, 2. Power supply line, current lead
Rohr = tube, pipe, conduit, duct, channel
Rohrleitung = tubing, piping, conduit

Überdies steht das auch im angehängten Wiki-Link: "VRFs come in two system formats, two pipe and three pipe systems. In a heat pump two pipe system all of the zones must either be all in cooling or all in heating."

https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elektrische_Leitung

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/262418798_Grundlage...
