Anita, assuming this is "Drückernuss", I think you will find this is "hub" (of a lock).

I have a rather old Civil Engineering dictionary which gives latch or latch bolt for "Falle", and dead bolt for "Riegel". On the other hand, Siemens Electrical Engineering dictionary gives bolt, locking bar, or catch or latch (Falle in brackets) for "Riegel". There would appear to be a certain amount of interchangeability with these terms.
