German term

Auspuffschutzlack-Spray

German to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) Lacquer Spray
Finally I've moved on from applicator guns and the like, and the next section of the brochure I'm working on has to do with lacquer sprays. This seems to be a lacquer spray for car exhausts, but I'm uncertain as to the precise English translation. Auspuffschutz is the problematic part. Does it just mean exhaust protection, or is it referring to a specific part (like the exhaust pipe guard, as suggested in a previous KudoZ question on Auspuffschutz)? TIA for your help. Sorry there's not more context. It's just part of a list of different lacquer sprays.

I've found this - http://www.akemi.com/english/auto/e_reifen.htm
BUT - it's a German site and quite possibly translationese. It might be a start, though...

exhaust pipe protective spray coating

It looks to me like they have a general purpose spray coating for exhaust systems; but at least in UK English I think it is important to refer to an exhaust pipe rather than just the exhaust.

The originator also wanted seemed to want to highlight that this is a ready to use spray (presumably aerosol can) rather than brush on coating.
