Dear efreitag sorry for delay sorry for not having given a prompt response. My computer went down.... But, I think what Itla said makes a lot of sense and his translation matches 100 % with mine (except my version is a non-native speaker version :))
Erik Freitag Feb 22, 2010:
Ok, now that you've given additional context (or some context to begin with after all), it seems more probable that "zur" is indeed correct here. We need more context. What's being measured? The "Zellkonstante" or something different? What kind of machine are we talking about?
Binnur Tuncel van Pomeren (asker) Feb 22, 2010:
I was thinking the same as you Thank you for your fast reply efreitag! Well, here is some context. ''im Meßmodus cal drücken und Code 0000 übernehmen. In der Hauptanzeige wird die aktuelle Zellkonstante angezeigt. Das Gerät geht nach 20 s zurück in den Meßmodus (vorzeitiger Abbruch zur Messung mit enter).'' Hope this helps ... According to me, it is roughly ''an action is described for an early measurement'' (an early break with enter to proceed with the measurement)...
Erik Freitag Feb 22, 2010:
Context It sounds like the intended wording might be "der Messung", but that's absolutely impossible to tell without further context. The answer to your question whether the meaning is the same is: no. But I'd really have to try hard to find a situation where your source text might be correct (but it's not impossible).

That's what it could mean. In effect, you're aborting the 20-second wait period.
Note from asker:
Dear Itla, this is the answer I was looking for. Thank you very my much! Binnur

agree Erik Freitag : Yes, seems plausible with the additional context given.
