German term

konfektionieren

German to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng
I'm at a loss with how to understand the following:

Kabel ist mit der Anschlussdose bereits konfektioniert.

Context - specifications for a junction box (Anschlussdose) for a solar module. This portion has to do with the cables and wires.

I'm familiar with konfektioniert as "ready-made". In Ernst I found "konfektionierte Leitungsschnur" as "cord set".

I'm not quite sure how to put this. I think the "mit" is throwing me off.

Could it simply just be "Junction box includes a cord set"?

pre-wired

If the wiring between the cable and the junction box does not have to be carried out on site , then you could consider pre-wired, factory finished or pre-assembled might also fit the description.

For SuzieZ, to say that the junction box is supplied pre-equipped would give most British native speakers a bit of consternation, pre-wired sounds better. It depends on the recipient, pre-wired, " no need to wire up the junction box", "the junction box is delivered without further need for wiring", I would stay with the first suggestion.
Note from asker:
OK, so can I say junction box is supplied pre-equipped with cable"?
Great, thanks so much!
Peer comment(s):

agree Ken Cox : you could turn this around a bit and say that the junction box is supplied with the cable pre-wired. 'bereits konfektioniert' and 'vorkonfektioniert' mean already assembled or pre-assembled, or in this case pre-wired.

thaks Ken, at first I thought pre-wired sounded too Denglish, therefore pre-assembled, factory finished.
