German to English Bus/Financial Construction / Civil Engineering
Hi - this term is used in a table proving order details for a big construction job.

I'm thinking maybe - chargeable services - or - chargeable works - or maybe - piece work?

Any ideas?

I think labour and materials was the term used, but this doesn't cover plant etc, so time and cost is more accurate in my opinion.

Hi Peter - you've given me an idea - in the contracts we used in the construction and IT industry we used to talk of 'time and materials' or T&M: I think this might be what it means.

or "on a daywork basis". Its used where the extent of the work cannot be determined exactly in advance.
