German term
Objekterkundung
German to English
Tech/Engineering
Construction / Civil Engineering
I'm really not sure what they're getting at here. This term appears in a website for a coatings company. They also use Objektauswahl, followed by a list of areas in which their expertise is used, which I've taken to mean range of target sectors/areas.
Mit unserer Kompetenz für Sanierung, Entsorgung und Umweltschutz bieten wir ein unfassendes Service:
Objekterkundung und Schadstoffanalyse
Project survey?
Objekt seems an odd word to use. This is an Austrian company, by the way.
Any suggestions very welcome.
Many thanks

property survey?
Looking at the "Sanierung, Entsorgung..." etc., it looks as if this might be what they are getting at...

The company whose web-site you are working on does do coatings etc. for all manner of "objects", including motorway tunnels, roads markings, etc., and I think possibly "work(ing) surveys" might be best fitted for your needs.
