: Also bei "Automatiken" würde ich zuerst an was maschinentechnisches denken (Hydraulik, Gangschaltung oder so). Hier gehts um Software.

"computergesteuerte Verarbeitung" eigentlich. Aber daß das eine Abfolge von einzelnen Arbeitsschritten ist, ist doch sowieso klar. Das dürfte für den Leser keine so große Bedeutung haben.
Und automatisiert kann man doch hier mit "computergesteuert" gleichsetzen, wenn schon Software da ist.

Agents / mechanisms
More literal would perhaps be "mechanisms" or "automatons", but this is modern software carrying out relatively advanced processing, and I would think the software provider would like to refer to these mechanisms as "agents".
Only think is, why didn´t they call them "Agents" in German? But they are doing exactly one of the things that software agents do - trawling around inthe background, trying to do something intelligent on the user´s behalf.
So for the title here I would propose "Mechanisms for increasing STP" for down-to-earth (which your text does seem to be), or "[Software] agents for increasing STP" for trendy.

Agents don´t have to travel around, there are agents even in PCs. It´s a just a name for a kind of program that tries to do things for you.
