Die Umsetzung findet nach einem vereinfachten Modell in 2 Stufen statt 1. Die Ammoniakfreisetzung:
6 Harnstoff = 2 Cyanurs�ure + 6 Ammoniak
und 2. der Kohlendioxidfreisetzung:
2 Cyanurs�ure = Melamin + 3 Kohlendioxid

Zu den folgenden Darstellungen des zeitlichen Verlaufes ist anzumerken, dass 100 % nicht etwa vollst�ndiger Umsatz sondern Gleichgewichtsumsatz bedeuten!

Having slept on this in the light of rainerc's comment, I think including "conversion" in the context given hinders understanding. As is often the case, translating the meaning involves more than dictionary substitution followed by rearrangement into target language syntax.

The only amendment I am inclined to make to the translation of the sentence I offered would be: "...these are equilibrium reactions, with the POINT of chemical equilibrium dependent on temperature and pressure."

As we all know, equilibrium conversion means is that the final ratio (equilibrium) of reactants and products is dependent (converted by) on other factors (in this case temperature and pressure) - this is common to most chemical reactions.

If we look at the use of Umsatz in the further context given, this clearly refers to the reaction itself (the conversion of reactants to products), and not to any change to the final ratios of products and reactants (...erreichbare Umsatz ... beträgt etwa...; Die Umsetzung findet... in 2 Stufen...).

And that is just an assertion - can you back it up with an argument please? Try convincing us rather than just making unsupported statements. Irrelevant references (in terrible English by non-native speakers) from the first page of google hits don't help.
