German term

treffen

German to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
Another term from my article about investing in innovation.

Actually, I'm not sure if the verb here is treffen or auftreffen. Does it mean that new products meet these conditions when they are launched on the market? Or that they impinge or encroach upon them?

come across

New products *come across* these conditions when introduced onto the market...

or maybe even:

new products *face* these conditions when...

"These conditions are the challenge new products have to meet when introduced onto the market" is probably going a bit too far, but that's what is ment there (so just to give you an idea of what "treffen" means here)
