German term

Tagesprogramm

German to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks
I am translating a list of material names/ component names for the master data for vehicle parts. The document is for a company that specialises in vehicle bodies.

I have the phrase "Tagesprogramm Steuerschild". It comes in a section all about various labels on a new car and a computer programme on CD.

I also have

"Schild Label Tagesprogramm Steuerschild"

I can't think what Tagesprogramm might mean in this context.

TIA

Thanks everyone - I have asked the customer about this and will let you know when I get a reply

Are there any other weird-sounding parts? Could this be an already translated text? I would ask the client for an explanation of the part. Hope this helps.:)

Hi Louise. I am not an expert on all car parts, but both words, "Tagesprogramm" and "Steuerschild" don't get any hits regarding "Auto" or "computer." Could be a (control) panel, could be a plate, or the display for some sort of navigational system.

Hello gflan, it is all a bit unclear but I don't think it is referring to a part of a computer programme
Gregory Flanders Mar 14, 2008:
is the term used for a label on a part, or is it part of the computer programme? If it is the latter, perhaps some sort of daily planner, or calender programme?
