German term
Steuerschlüssel
German to English
Tech/Engineering
Aerospace / Aviation / Space
Aircraft (rotorcraft) building/assembly
Context:
e.g.
"Steuerschlüssel: AB01 Arbeitsplatz: A12345"
The only dictionary translations can find for Steuerschlüssel are to do with taxation, but that is evidently not appropriate here, but I'm not sure about "control key" either.
* Sentence or paragraph where the term occurs: See above
* Document type: Manufacturing instructions
* Target audience: Manufacturers/engineers
* Country and dialect (source): Germany (corporate, no dialect.)
* Country and dialect (target): American English (corporate, no dialect.)

control key / control code
If this is SAP-related, "control key" seems to be the usual translation of "Steuerschlüssel".
Another alternative, e.g. Woxikon, is "control code".

: Even if it's not SAP-related, this is how I'd translate it.
