panneaux radiants à eau chaud **sous toiture**. This is a warehouse heating system. Could the radiators really be under the roof? Could this mean that the radiators are covered or enclosed?

Can only realistically imagine it is a way of saying "plafond actif":
[from my notes] Plafond actif Active ceiling, thermo-active ceiling (sort of radiant ceiling, heated & chilled ceiling, etc.)
Literally it appears to suggest the heating panels are mounted directly beneath the roofing, implying that there is no insulation or lining (ceiling). This could well be the case in warehouses for agricultural plant, but these days in particular it would seem unlikely that they would heat the place under those conditions.

Note from asker:
You could be right, it just seems very strange to have water filled radiators under the roof. It would speed up any leak detection of course. It is a warm (steel sandwich panel) roof. I'll wait till tomorrow before selecting to see what else might be suggested. |

Comment: "Thanks. I have put the gloss as "below roof", as one could say "beneath the roof" but not "beneath roof". I am still unsure whether this is really what the source document meant; but as the client has not commented on this, we will never know."
