Question So, does everyone think that "nouveaux terminaux communicants", "les portables ultramobile PC", and "les futurs mobiles internet display" are interchangeable terms: I would really be interested in a more complex translation that expresses some of the distinction between the terms that exists in the original.
Sasha Barral-Robinson (asker) Oct 15, 2008:
What I am trying to understand is how these three terms are distinguished in English, if they are distinguished in English - as Yolanda has noted, they may be three different ways of saying netbook. I don't want to post them in three separate posts because I will certainly get three times "netbook".

Reposted from Request clarification section Bourth: 10:53am Oct 15, 2008: Telephony as we know it (still), or something more along the lines of netbooks (small laptops designed for internet communication rather than heavy computing)? Your expression looks like a longwinded equivalent of "netbook"!
writeaway Oct 15, 2008:
which one of these terms do you need help with? You should really post each term in a separate Kudoz question .

Upcoming devices

Makers of the CPUs found in most Ultra-Mobile PCs, VIA & Intel, are stepping up efforts to create new processors and chipsets that could result in devices with one tenth the power consumption compared to today’s laptops in 2008.
