Hi
From some OTT conclusions of a survey aimed at getting advertisers to buy space in a glossy fashion magazine.
This comes under the heading "registre sensuel" and describes the magazine's style :
"Une abondance stimulante, des évocations sensuelles voire pulsionnelles, des sujets de fantasme, des textes poétiques..."
Very Freudian... "impulse" crossed my mind but perhaps that could become confused with the notion of "impulse buying" in this context.
Many thanks for your ideas.

A suggestion - though it doesn't fit easy within the text.

I suppose what I'm trying to say is something which has the effect of turning a "passive" desire into an "active" purchase in terms of a style that advertisers believe will stimulate consumers.
