ensouillage

French to English Tech/Engineering Other underwater cable-laying

(cable) burial

Hello,

The majority of texts that I've read on underwater cable-laying have referred to this as "cable burial".

I gave you the wrong reference. It should be:

"Grounding" in English refers to connecting to a "ground wire" so the full electrical charge is not felt in a given appliance.

It seems that it would be correct, but it is not.

yes ;
agree Bourth (X) : Burying yes; grounding could be interpreted as "mise à la terre" (electrical earth)

yes, that is why i would go with burying, one R of course;)
disagree MatthewLaSon : "Grounding" means "mise à la terre" , not to "bury", even if some "burying" takes placeLook what is said about "underwater cable-laying". Cables are buried, not grounded (unless it involves electricity). "Grounding" is not used to describe this action.
