Clarity "Echantillons" of rock, "soumettre" to a type of test
Bourth (X) Feb 25, 2009:
These are "échantillons" of what? Soil/rock? Obtained how? "Soumettre" to a person, to a type of test???

intact sample

The reason I asked is that I would have seen this rather as samples of soil, with "intact" or "undisturbed" samples, simply as removed from the ground, and "disturbed" samples which have been reformatted for the purposes of the test.

With rock samples, I'm not sure there is a lot you can do to disturb it. Possibly - very possibly - they are talking about intact, whole pieces of core sample used for "Brazilian" point-loading tensile-strength testing, as opposed to pieces cut from the core samples (cut into cubes, etc.) used for compressive strength testing ...

Assuming this is "Soumettre (l'échantillon à la forme complète) A L'ESSAI et soumettre (des échantillons à l'unité de la préparation de l'échantillon) A L'ESSAI".
Something went wrong...
