French term

maintenue en static

French to English Medical Medical: Pharmaceuticals Vaccine production
Context:
Dépressuriser la cuve de solution vrac maintenue en statique dans la chambre froide L130 afin de limiter la présence de gaz dissous.

Does this mean without disturbing as far as possible the solution? Or am I way off line?
TIA Chris.

kept in a static way

not moving it at all
Peer comment(s):

neutral Andrew Bramhall : Unlikely; " in a static way" is unidiomatic.

kept motionless or stable

IMO
Peer comment(s):

neutral Andrew Bramhall : 'Motionless' no, 'stable', possibly, but even then more likely to refer to volatile chemicals or gases liable to cause an explosion.

kept at a static status

looks clearer, more specific

kept static

or "maintained as static" seems to be simplest way of dealing with this, then there is no chance of misinterpretation

"static" can mean motionless/stable/stationary etc etc as already said but it can also mean in terms of "static pressure/force/weight acting but causing no movement"
