French term

retombées presse

Non-PRO French to English Marketing
The use of "dans" in this sentence has me a bit puzzled. Do they want stories from the "people" and "celebrity" press to spill over to local news (Which is what I think. Nicolas, my native French boyfriend had trouble himself with this. He agrees with me but does not very convinced.) or is it the other way around??

Thanks for enlightening me (us).

"retombées" can be defined as"consequences, aftereffects)
for example an advertisement can have economic "retombées", profits in return
i don't think that local in this context means the local (village) gazettes! it must mean a country (the world may be considered as a country and in this case countries become "local"
hope it helps

Another (technical) meaning: foldouts (although I don't know

how this would apply to audiovisual media!)
I saw this in a "retombée de 270 x 630" for an A4 format. In this case, a 3-page foldout, if you consider A4 as 270 x 210.

Si vous allez sur le site Web de Mazda, par exemple, la rubrique "retombées presse" fait état de tous les articles qui rapportent les résultats des courses (retombées presse (journaux) / retombées télé (rediffusion des courses, interviews).

Thanks

Thanks everyone but it's not the word retombee I'm having trouble with. I guess it's confusing because that's the word I put it in there but it's the sentence that's confusing. My question was do they want the retombee presse in the local press or in the people press. Anyway, I'll figure it out.
