I am familiar with the Kudoz glossary definitions for "redressement judiciare", and I saw "tax adjustment" in the GDT for "redressement fiscal", but I am not sure if that is appropriate here. This is from a statutory auditors' report:

An alternative to "tax adjustment" - possibly "reassessment" is Brit-specific? I'm not sure.
In other words there's been a tax inspection and the inspectors have detected some tax that should have been paid and will have to be paid but the accounts neither record the expense or any related provision.

: Agree that "adjustment" spot on for Britain but you are right that for other contexts, something a little more explanatory might be better. NB Not necessary to have an inspection, it is enough to declare an item beyond a due date for ex.!
