I think it's best to have a bit of explanation. Appeal court judge is used a lot in UK.
Juridiction du second degré chargée d'examiner les affaires soumises précédemment à un Tribunal. En droit français, on applique le principe du double degré de juridictions. Cela signifie que lorsqu'un justiciable n'est pas satisfait de la décision rendue par une juridiction de premier degré, il peut faire réexaminer sa demande devant la Cour d'Appel.
Seuls les décisions relatives aux litiges de très faible importance sont insusceptibles d'un recours devant la Cour d'Appel. (litiges inférieurs à 3800 Euros pour le Tribunal d' Instance et à 3980 Euros pour le Conseil des Prud'hommes).
