A form of pyramiding of ownership involving controlling interests in a company being used to acquire control of subsidiaries further down the chain. In the Figure, company A has a minority stake in firms X and Y which also have outside shareholders B and C. There are cross-holdings between X and Y of 10%. A then effectively controls firm Z via X and Y, neither of which is majority owned and therefore not consolidated with A.

I think that "en cascade" is just saying that this owner constantly hides under fake companies, etc; that's to say that he goes from one to the next when he feels he may be caught.
en cascade = like cascading waterfalls (goes from one ficticious company to the next to ensure secrecy)
