French to English Tech/Engineering Law: Contract(s) interventions on industrial process equipment

This is a clause in a contract covering services provided by a company doing mechanical maintenance etc. work on industrial equipment (in this case a turboalternator). I just want to make sure that I have understood the applicable penalties for lateness in completing the works.

Under the heading: Garantie de fin d’exécution des interventions programmées

En cas de non respect de la durée d'intervention des prestations programmées, des pénalités de retard seront appliquées au Prestataire.
Le montant de chaque pénalité est plafonné au montant réactualisé de la prestation concernée (voir annexe 9). Cette pénalité s’appliquera par journée de retard ****sur une durée égale à celle prévue pour les travaux. ****Le montant journalier sera calculé en divisant le coût de la prestation par le nombre de jours prévus.

My understanding is that the lateness penalty is to be applied per day of lateness and up to ? a term equal to the period of time allocated for the works...and that the daily amount shall be calculated by dividing the cost of providing the services (i.e. the works) by the number of days allocated/planned? Have I got the right take on this?
