French term

Responsable du dossier; Responsable opérationnel du dossier

French to English Other Insurance
This is referring to insurance claims (same document as the other terms). What is a good way to word this and what is the difference between these two individuals?

I know that the first one is the person responsible for handling this file, but what is the difference between that person and the second individual? They are specifically listed separately in a list of information needed in the claims follow-up process.

line manager

I don't know if this helps, but the "chef opérationnel" in administration is the person at work who is in charge of a department, group or project and it is "line manager" in English.

As you said, the first one is the person responsible for handling the file. So, the difference is in the hierarchy.

Claims Supervisor ; Claim Officer

May be a distinction between the person supervising the claim file administratively and the one actually handling the details.

"The **claims officers** that you liaise with will have hundreds of claims to manage"

Depends where the titles in your text come in the hierarchy.
