Vision vers l’extérieur

French to English Marketing General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters Press release
I cannot think of an elegant way to phrase this. The full sentence is:
Proposed translations (English)
3 +1 Sheer brilliance (see through....)
5 outer/outward look /vision
3 An outwards outlook
3 A clear view of the great outdoors.

Discussion

Louise Souter (X) (asker) Mar 30, 2009:
It is a type of material made with fibreglass The best description of this material is given below:

Anne-Marie Grant (X) Mar 30, 2009:
I'm wondering if l'extérieur here is referring, literally to 'the outdoors' rather than an outward-looking view.
ormiston Mar 30, 2009:
what's this transparency ? if you take it at face value and think of curtains (!) it could mean you can literally see through his fabrics (!)
Silvia Brandon-Pérez Mar 30, 2009:
More context would help...

Sheer brilliance (see through....)

so is it curtain fabric ? !They first mention its thermal qualities then its 'optical' ones so it seems they want a lyrical way of saying it lets in the natural light (without the glare) while offering a view of outside. Tricky! my suggestion is maybe a bit OTT but there you are !
