Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Sep 15, 2004:
It's a shame it couldn't be split up into two terms, because there is such a lot of information here.
Dylan Edwards Sep 15, 2004:
I think Michel has given the information which will make things clearer.
Richard Benham Sep 15, 2004:
Well, maybe give Michel the points, but of course it will look a bit weird in the KudoZ listing: Partnetariat pour les comptences et l'emploi des Autochtones (PCEA) -> Prparations Culinaires Elabores l'Avance.
Richard Benham Sep 15, 2004:
I suggest you close this without grading. If you prefer, I could squash it.
Non-ProZ.com Sep 15, 2004:
Sorry, I think I've got the abbreviation wrong This is the proper context:
Les diffrentes familles de DLC maximum fixes par le guide XXXXX doivent tre respectes: DLC des produits entams, des produits dcongels, des PCEA pour les cuisines centrales.
Richard Benham Sep 15, 2004:
As this seems to be a proper name, it would of course be a good idea to use the French name with the English translation in parentheses.
Richard Benham Sep 15, 2004:
You sure about the food hygiene? Autochtones are generally indigenous people....

agree Dylan Edwards : Having said "pre-cooked" at the end of my answer, I now suspect it's "pre-prepared".

Richard\'s suggestions are good too. I thought \"indigenous people(s)\" first. I usually associate \"aboriginal\" with Australia, but if that\'s what they say in Canada...

It was a nice excursion via Canada..
PCEA seems to be \"pre-cooked meals\".
Peer comment(s):

agree Richard Benham : Yes. I thought it was a little weird. Your answer, like mine, was a correct translation of the wrong expansion of the abbreviation....

Um, maybe best to squash the whole thing, but I see Michel has given some references for the right kind of PCEA.
agree PRen (X) : It's on the web - given that Dylan took the time to look, he should get the points
