Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Sep 3, 2004:
Brainstorm - it is definitely a French product. Maybe it is a typo and as writeaway says, 'and' fits better than 'of'.
Thanks.

Scotch oats or steel-cut oats or Irish oatmeal are all names for groats that have been cut into 2 to 3 pieces and not rolled. They take considerably longer to cook than rolled oats and have a decidedly chewy texture. Oat flour is made from groats that have been ground into powder.

agree Mark Edmundson : .http://www.quakeroatmeal.com/Products/SQR/SQR-BrownSugar.cfm... However, I would use oatmeal instead of oat flour :-) . Grande Dictionnaire has entries for both. However oatmeal cookies is used with farine d'avoine. Nowhere can I find semoule for meal :-/

agree Anthony Chalkley (X) : anything coarse ground (meal) is normally refereed to as "semoule" in my experience, so "flour"

your French version actually has no hits at all in Google - perhaps that\'s where the problem lies - is the product French?
