French term

ligne de métier

French to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) anti-money laundering guidelines

Context: French bank's notice to employees regarding reporting suspicious transactions to the authorities.

front-line

A half-guess. I think they mean something like "employees on the front lines" but maybe there is a better way to render it. Good luck!

agree rkillings : Unsolved translation problem at this time. At least one French bank (the largest) is now designating as "ligne-métiers" not only its business units that deal with clients but also some support functions e.g. compliance, fin. security and internal control.
