Scalping This looks like it's referring to scalping. It's a term in financial trading/spread betting, with a few meanings: a scalper is someone who trades over very short timescales (seconds or minutes) and looks to make lots of small profits this way. Or it seems it can also refer to someone who trades (at a profit) knowing that they're getting a good deal because of the slight delay between actual and advertised prices.

Unfortunately, I only have the written transcripts. I think the idea of "le chauve" being a nickname might work here. Thank you for your comments.

Lechauve It is also a surname (family name). Might it be in refernce to a person, a company, or even a nickname for someone/company?
