tirants

French to English Tech/Engineering Engineering: Industrial traverse de planche de bo
Hi,

Thank you for your time.

Peer comment(s):

agree Nikki Scott-Despaigne : "Tie rod" is one of the usual translations in similar contexts (cf. granddictionnaire.com). Narasimha, it might help the Asker for future reference if you were to cite fully your dictionary source. //I'm more inclined to go for "rod" alone than "tie", hmm

Thank you, Nikki
neutral B D Finch : As this is about wood and the fibres are fine, "ties" would be a more suitable translation than "tie rods". I agree with Nikki's comment and that you could have given a more helpful explanation (simply refering to an unnamed dictionary, ignoring context).
