French term

paliers de desserte des ascenseurs

French to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) Lifts/Elevators
This is in a lease contract and appears in the sentence:

Il s'oblige à s’abstenir d’encombrer les paliers de desserte des ascenseurs

is clearly asking the Lessee to refrain from blocking something to do with the lifts/elevators, but I can't find a term I'm 100% confident with to translate "paliers de desserte". I thought it might be "lift/elevator servicing levels" but I can't find much evidence for that online. All help is appreciated!
Proposed translations (English)
4 +6 lift landing

Daryo Oct 9, 2018:
"paliers de desserte" = flat surface in front of lift doors serving as access to the lift - literally "servicing the lift" by providing access to it.

lift landing

should be obvious

Rubbish or goods must not block the lift landing area.
This might fit the bill.
Note from asker:
What about "desserte". It doesn't imply any element of servicing? I'm (clearly) not a technical translator! The odd term pops up in a contract every so often though.

Thank you.
agree Eliza Hall : If US, then "elevator landings." But yes, palier is landing and "de desserte" just means the landings serving the elevators, i.e., the ones you stand on while waiting for the elevator.

Thank you.
agree Tony M : desservir = serving (think service road / bus service — and of course, a serving trolley)
