Oh dear - I've no idea what's meant here, not helped by the fact that there appears to be a word missing at the end....
Le joint soudé résiste aux tractions longitudinales, ce qui évite la confection de massifs de butés, aux coudes en particulier, lorsque les tuyaux et les pièces spéciales font l’objet de dispositions constructives particulières pour rendre la conduite **autobutée** à la pression soit réduite 20mm au minimum.

A "butée" is typically a specially shaped (enlarged) pipe fitting or a block of concrete (massif de butéE) cast round a pipe (big pipes) where there is a sharp bend to anchor the pipe, i.e. prevent the water movement in the pipe making the pipe "thrust" into the earth.

Dans les conditions dites autobutées (pour une pression déterminée), les efforts à reprendre subsistent en général seulement au droit de joints souples (compensateurs à ondes dilatoflex non autobuté joint type Gibault ou d’éléments de conduite non autorésistants, tels que vanne non autobutée, pompes...).
Self-blocking???
