-La méthode la plus courante consiste à appliquer une couche de dégrossissage à la taloche, puis à passer un enduit de finition constitué de plâtre noyé d'eau, nommé "fleur de plâtre".

-L'état de surface peut être laissé brut de projection, soit taloché, soit dressé et lissé.

Yes, Equimod, I saw float too in the GDT. But it is less used I think. As for trowel the French call it truelle.

disagree Tony M : No, they are 2 different things; the 'mortar board' is used to carry the mortar, the 'float' to apply it (as here)
