Hi!

This is from a nonprofit organization's employee assessment form:

"Le traitement de payement de sites partenaires *au niveau de HQ* (lié aux procédures administratives?) prend parfois énormément du temps..."

What does HQ mean? High-Quality?

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Hard to see what else it could possibly be. HQ is headquarters. And in business the French often use English terminology.

Thanks for the tip! I just did, and found this in a job offer description posted online by the organization:

PURPOSE/SCOPE OF WORK

The Consultant’s role will be as an EGPAF representative in Cameroon. S/he will build strong relationships with the Cameroonian Ministry of Health (MoH), potential donors, and other stakeholders. This will include being responsible for assisting EGPAF *headquarters (HQ)* counterparts with the achievement of deliverables related to the TA Award; registering the Foundation as an NGO in Cameroon; and establishing a strong EGPAF presence in Cameroon.

Makes sense certainly Have a look to see if the document lapses in to English anywhere else. Have a look to see if the organisation has a website and if so, see what term they use for the head office.

It sounds like it's "headquarters", even tho' that's an EN word, that they're saying HQ takes ages to process payments.
