French term
gérer les interfaces
French to English
Tech/Engineering
Business/Commerce (general)
This is from a job description for a Construction Site Director. This person is in charge of ensuring health and safety compliance by the company for which he works, in addition to compliance by the company's subcontractors.
I'm not sure about this "gestion des interfaces" which is one of his responsibilities. "Managing the interfaces" seems like Eurospeak to me.
S’assure que les décisions prises pour gérer les interfaces font l’objet d’une formalisation, sont communiquées aux entreprises concernées et sont suivies d’effets dans leur application
Thanks!

manage the interfaces
Or you could say interface management decisions, or possibly just interface decisions. I agree it's jargon, and we don't have enough context to know who or what is doing the interfacing, but a literal translation works fine.

: Yes, even if I don't believe I'd have included the article "the". "To manage interfaces" me paraît suffisant.

Yes, it partly depends on whether the interfaces have been mentioned before.

: I think interface here is using a computer term to talk about the connection between the site manager and the subcontractors. It may be current UK-EN speak, but I think there may be better expressions.

But what do you mean by "better"? The French says interface, and the English word is exactly the same. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

: agree completely: managing (the) interfaces or interface management. What interfaces? We don't know; not specified in the French, so we can't say in the English either. ;-)

managing contact points
If this relates to managing people it could be contact points or points of contact. Another term is touchpoint, which is typically with respect to customers, but contact point, I think would suit the context better as it sounds broader and can also include contact with suppliers, employees and other stakeholders.
