French term

domaine d'excellence

French to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
Wondering if there is a specific "business" term for this in English (area of excellence is the obvious solution, but I don't think it applies here).
This is about a company's half-yearly results and the fact that it has successfully met a number of challenges recently:
(Company X) a ainsi conforté son domaine d’excellence : apporter des solutions innovantes à nos clients dans nos quatre métiers.

Hi Ysabel, I'm not too sure why you think "area of excellence" does not apply? I really can't think of a specific piece of "business-speak" that would fit any better...

remains ahead/is still a leader in its field/area of excellence

Just a thought (tend to agree that you could use area of excellence somehow)

This way, X has confirmed its command of excellence.

neutral writeaway : (Company X) a ainsi conforté son domaine d’excellence/domaine isn't a command.... they are referring to the area it specialises in

(has enhanced) its leading edge domain

leading edge domain is a top domain, in this case close to unexcelled.

French term (edited): domaine d\'excellence

key strength

the word "key" icould b e appropriate because big companies - such as IBM for instance - have been, over the years, outsourcing things like printers, and only reserve "key" competencies. Today, mainframes would be one of their "domaines d'excellence".
