French term

Profil à aileron déplacable vers le bas

French to English Tech/Engineering Aerospace / Aviation / Space structure de cerf-volant.
Hi,

Profil à aileron déplacable vers le bas= downward(ly) moveable aileron profile

Does this "sound" allright?

"la figure représente le passage du filin de commande et la disposition de l'aileron dans le cas d'un profil à aileron déplacable vers le bas'..."

Thank you inadvance :)

@liz askew no probelm thanks for your time
liz askew May 16, 2011:
indeed, as I amended later on. Don't know why I put wing, when I knew it was "aileron"!! A Freudian slip.
Louisa Tchaicha (asker) May 16, 2011:
@liz aileron is still aileron in English (in the abstract I have as wel as in the GDT)
Louisa Tchaicha (asker) May 16, 2011:
thanks liz askew, I will use section or profile section :)

isn't déplacable "movable/can be moved"...
Jean Lachaud May 16, 2011:
I don't understand what "aileron déplaçable vers le bas" means.
Does it mean that the aileron can be relocated? That it is not hinged but acts by deflecting a part of the wing, like some early aviation designs (that would be my top choice)? Something else?

agree Nikki Scott-Despaigne : which can be deflected downward.. unless downwardly deflectable does it... which I think it does not! ;-)
