French term

bandeau de repiquage

French to English Marketing Advertising / Public Relations advertising materials
Hello,
in my text the "bandeau de repiquage" is on a purchase order form, among other types of advertising materials, i.e. posters of various kinds, advertorials etc.
I found the following definition in French:
"Le bandeau de repiquage est un espace prévu sur un élément publicitaire national (affiche, flyer, publicité presse, bannière Internet) permettant de personnaliser ou localiser le message avec la mention d'un point de vente local."

And here's the definition of repiquage publicitaire:

"Le repiquage publicitaire est une pratique par laquelle une création publicitaire nationale est localement personnalisée ou adaptée par la mention d'un point de vente local (magasin, concession, etc.)."

Could anyone suggest a term for that in English? I would be very grateful...

purchase order localisation space

In your context.

Something more general is required in the other contexts you mention.

Other words to consider instead of space: area, zone, box, etc.

Presumably the material in question is printed by the same printing works, with these small variations.

In a great example that I have immediately to hand, a Super U supermarket brochure (which we get every week in our postboxes here in France), the bottom of the back page lists all the Super U outlets in the local regions here in the east of France. (All the way from Haute Savoie in the Alps to Lorraine up near Luxembourg.)

Some chains don't do this, so if you live in a big city you will probably have no idea where your local outlet is without searching on the internet...dumb.

To Joanna: well, it's all about getting the message across as best you can. Thanks!

coating slider

I think "slider" is the most appropriate, since we are talking about a space in a flyer.

localized banner

On websites, bandeau = banner so unless there is a specific term in English, I'd go for this.
Lots of the ghits are for localized banners on Internet but I think people would understand what you mean by a '"localized banner" on a billboard
Note from asker:
Wow, thank you, that sounds very plausible! I think I will go for this. Thank you very much :)
I was redy to select this one but, unfortunately, localised banners are used in the Internet, as far as I can see, in a slightly different meaning. But thank you for your contribution!

a banner for advertising

It describes a large banner, or perhaps a billboard, on which publicity advertisements can be prepared and placed in public spots, where they can be easily seen.

(Fr: Ça décrit une bannière grande ou uun panneau d'affichage auquel des annonces publicitaires peuvent être préparés pour être exposés aux certains endroits dehors où ils peuvent être vus du public.)
